Leasehand – Various Locations

The Leasehand is the most junior position on a rig crew. Leasehands assist with the everyday operations of the drilling rig. This includes but is not limited to loading and unloading trucks, cleaning buildings and equipment and assisting other crew members. Leasehands are also responsible for housekeeping on the rig.

Responsibilities: 

  • Comply with Safety Policies, Safe Work Procedures, the Predator Health and Safety Program, as well as Government Safety regulations pertaining to all rig operations
  • Participate with Hazard ID Program
  • Report all incidents to the Rig Manager
  • Keep the lease and inside of all the buildings tidy and clean, keep stairs clear of hazards and ice at all times, as well as make sure equipment and parts are sorted and properly arranged
  • Wash down the outside of all buildings
  • Check rig for any repairs needed and advise Driller

Floorhand – Various Locations

The Floorhand’s primary duties are to assist the Derrickhand and Driller on the drill floor while making trips. In addition, the Floorhand also performs duties of an all-around worker on the drilling rig floor.

Responsibilities: 

The duties of a Floorhand include but are not limited to the following job requirements:

 

  • Learn and be knowledgeable of and adhere to the Company’s Safety Policy, procedures and practices as well as all Government safety regulations pertaining to the area and encourage others to do the same.
  • Support and promote the Company Safety Program
  • Set an example to fellow crew members
  • Ensure the drill floor is kept clean and orderly
  • Ensure the Preventative Maintenance checklist is performed on all equipment
  • Inspect equipment such as tongs, pipe, ect. and ensure they are in proper working order
  • Inspect and grease Kelly bushing, wirelines unit, etc.

Motorhand – Various Locations

The primary duty of a Motorhand is to ensure that all equipment is operating and functioning properly.  Minor repair work on equipment should be accomplished by the Motorhand.

The duties of a Motorhand include but are not limited to the following:

Derrickhand – Various Locations

This position is responsible for all work above the drill floor, this includes; watching and maintaining proper drilling fluid characteristics, the rate of fluid circulation, mud handling equipment and the preventative maintenance program.

Responsibilities: 

The duties of a Derrickhand include but are not limited to the following:

  • Know and adhere to all Predator policies, procedures and practices, and ensure crew members are doing the same.
  • Learn and adhere to Government safety regulations
  • Execute and promote the Company’s Safety Program to all employees and set an example to fellow employees by adhering to all Safe Work Practices and Policies.
  • Instigate, encourage and participate in weekly safety meetings, rig inspections and Hazard ID Program.
  • Report ALL incidents.
  • Responsible to condition the drilling fluid and maintain mud pumps.
  • Ensures that preventative maintenance is performed on all equipment above the drill floor and all equipment associated with the drilling fluid system.Inspect shale shakers, mud agitators, hoses, connectors, slashpumps and suction line pulsation dampeners daily to ensure proper working order.

Inventory & Logistics Coo – Midland, Texas

The Procurement & Assets Coordinator is responsible for the overall management and coordination of inventory and assets. This includes to ship, receive and record the movement of parts, supplies, materials, equipment and stock to and from multiple locations within Predator Drilling LLC (“Predator Drilling”). This position shall also be responsible to purchase all parts and want lists for working rigs. 

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Valid certifications, H2S Clear, First Aid, TDG.
  • The ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel is required. Must have the ability to learn to use and maintain the Navision Inventory system.
  • Experience in a warehouse environment.
  • Experience with computerized inventory and warehousing procedures.
  • Experience in operating various motor vehicles, light delivery vehicles, and a forklift.
  • Forklift Certification is required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to work well with others as well as independently;
  • Shall possess knowledge of oilfield equipment;

Responsibilities: 

  • Comply with all company reporting and documentation requirements.
  • Ensure Shipping/Receiving is done according to policy, procedure & regulatory compliance.
  • Determine method of shipment and prepare bills, invoices and other shipping documents.
  • Maintain internal record-keeping systems. Tracking order completion and back-orders

Accounts Receivable Clerk – Red Deer, AB

The Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical services in the finance department.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or certificate in related field from a recognized institution.
  • Valid driver’s license.

  • Review field tickets, prepare invoices and submit to client(s) through various systems, i.e. ADP and Cortex.

  • Post revenues by verifying and entering transactions.
  • Verify validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from various sources.
  • Resolves valid or authorized deductions by entering adjusting entries.
  • Resolves collection issues.

Rig Manager – Midland, Texas

The Rig Manager is responsible for the overall safety and drilling operations at each work site.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Driver’s License; 

  • Must possess valid certifications in H2S, First Aid, PST, Confined Space, Fall Protection, Boiler Operator, and Incident Investigation. 

  • Must possess a valid Second Line Supervisor Well Control certification. 

  • Other certifications as required by Predator Drilling


Responsibilities: 

  • Act in a way that demonstrates and supports the Mission, Vision and Core Values of Predator Drilling. 

  • Manage and adhere to assigned budget areas. 

  • Complete all performance reviews for direct reports for the end of the applicable period. 

  • Manage crews and change outs to ensure minimal manpower shortages.

  • Ensure all invoices are generated, signed and input into SharePoint upon well completion.
